Exploring space, technology, and law
LexAstris began in 2014 as Lex Astra, a place to discuss current events in space and the legal landscape. After a hiatus, we are returning to discuss the evolving fields of space and technology, and specifically what the laws around these new and exciting fields mean to you.
Space is a vast promise for humanity - for advancements in technology, improvements to life on earth, and opportunities to explore new places. But as a new field, the law must catch up to the strides we make. Early space treaties were optimistic, designed to prevent the hostilities of the Cold War from bleeding into outer space. Space was envisioned as a place to benefit all of humanity. However, as the global political landscape evolved, so did our needs and aspirations in interstellar exploration.
Laws are created and evolve as our needs change. On this blog, we will be discussing space laws, offering education on what the laws mean. However, the blog does not represent legal advice. We are happy to set up a meeting to discuss how these laws affect your company and how you can navigate the changing landscape of legal protections.
